Saturn in Aries – lessons in self-reliance
February 14 Saturn moves into Aries and begins a new 30-year cycle. The last time Saturn was in Aries was 1996–1999, when individualism strengthened, the concept of leadership shifted, the role of technology grew, and many processes were started boldly but not always managed with maturity.
In each sign Saturn spends about 2.5 years, so its move into a new Zodiac sign is not a short-lived mood. Saturn will travel through Aries until April 2028. During this period, inner impulses of "I want" will meet the question "Am I ready to be responsible for this?" This will strengthen themes of self-worth, courage, and inner support. We will learn to overcome rising doubts and fear of mistakes, to form a more mature relationship with ourselves without hiding behind collective norms, circumstances, or external authorities. Saturn here teaches patience, leader’s discipline, and inner resilience, without which Aries energy can turn into a hasty struggle with the world or even aggressive resistance. Saturn in Aries will encourage independence and increased responsibility: from abstractions to concrete action, from promises and ideas to practical results. Bold initiatives can gain a solid long-term foundation.
Solar eclipse and Chinese New Year – dawn of a new era
February 17 a New Moon occurs in Aquarius, the Chinese New Year of the Fire Horse begins, and the first solar eclipse of the year takes place. This is at least a partys! Symbolically this is a strong starting point when individual intentions intertwine with collective directions and visions of the future. Aquarius energy is oriented toward new solutions, community networks, technologies, and progressive thinking, and the solar eclipse amplifies a sense of fated shift, a correction of long-term direction. The symbolism of the Year of the Fire Horse brings drive, freedom, and courage to move forward, but also reminds us of conscious energy management. On this day let's name the future we want to create for ourselves and the world, and the role we choose.
Saturn and Neptune conjunction – "Make love, not war".
February 20 The Saturn–Neptune conjunction at the very beginning of Aries, at zero degrees, is one of the most significant astrological configurations of this era. It symbolizes the "seed" of a new epoch, where a common language between vision and reality is born. Two very different archetypes merge: Saturn, symbolizing structure, limits, responsibility, and material reality, and Neptune, which dissolves any bounds of rationality, freeing imagination, dreams, spirituality, and idealism. Building solid foundations or surrendering to the unknown? Reality or the illusion of idealism? A common denominator will need to be found.
Historically, Saturn–Neptune cycles are associated with the formation or collapse of ideologies, political and spiritual systems. This conjunction reminds us that vision without structure disperses, and structure without meaning becomes empty. Each person’s individual contribution becomes important here: through inner work, creative projects, meaningful activity in communities, acts of compassion and mercy, and conscious efforts to strengthen unity among people and reduce separation. It is an invitation to live your values not in declarations but in everyday choices – boldly, purposefully, consistently.
Venus and Jupiter "union" – gates of abundance and love
February 22 a favorable aspect forming between Venus in Pisces and Jupiter in Cancer is one of the gentlest and most supportive aspects of this period. Both planets are in especially strong positions here, in their exaltation, so their symbolism unfolds very harmoniously – expressions of love, nurturing compassion, emotional sensitivity, and the desire to protect and create a safe, supportive space for yourself and others grow stronger. This aspect is favorable for relationships, family, creativity, and all activities where sincerity, warmth of heart, and true connection matter, genuine contact. It will be easier to reconcile, hear the other person, and feel accepted yourself. A good time to pay attention to your inner world, emotional well-being, and your sources of inspiration. It is an opportunity to strengthen trust in the beauty of life and take advantage of favorable conditions to create abundance.
Mercury retrograde motion – the horses slowing before the leap
February 26 the beginning Mercury retrograde in Pisces intensifies the need for inner reflection. During this period until March 20 it is important not so much to rush into action as to act with careful listening to your inner motives. Mercury here helps distinguish the real voice of intuition from illusion and to prepare for more conscious decisions that will be made in later months. Hasten toward inner dialogue and recognizing intuition, but not outward distraction or a flood of urgent matters.
