Moon Days
The lunar days do not coincide with the calendar of solar days. They usually last a little longer than a 24-hour day, but the first lunar day may last only a few hours, while the last day may not appear at all in that month’s lunar calendar. The full cycle of lunar days symbolizes the path of spiritual ascent on subtle planes. The end of each cycle opens a new beginning.
The descriptions of the lunar days are based on the Avesta tradition as conveyed by P. Globa.
It is advisable to read the name of the day’s symbol and take time to reflect on its personal meaning. Only then should we read the description, which is just one of many possible interpretations.
Let us observe ourselves, our surroundings, and events on each lunar day. Let us note our well-being, personal experiences, and the individual expressions of that lunar day’s energy. In this way, we will create (or rather, restore) our personal connection with the lunar days, come to know ourselves, and understand our own changes as we journey through the lunar cycle.
1 Moon day
Lantern
This is a day of initial impulse, new beginnings, new work, and initiatives. This New Moon day marks the beginning of a new lunar cycle. Although there is not yet energy for active action, the day’s creative potential is very strong, so it is worth using it for planning, dreaming, and shaping your future strategy. The seeds sown on this day will grow and unfold throughout the entire cycle, so observe what thoughts you are sowing into the soil of your reality. In the subconscious, the light of infinite possibilities and abundance of options awakens—let us recognize this and consciously choose to embody it in our lives. The energetic potential of this lunar day is absorbed personally and individually, in solitude, by turning to childhood, origins, and ancestors. Group activities should be avoided.
I am beginning a new stage illuminated by infinite creative potential. Everything is possible for me.
2 Moon Day
Cornucopia
The Moon day when well-earned rewards are poured out — like from the myth of the cornucopia. It is a day when the Moon is not yet visible in the sky, but it is full of growth energy. Whatever we focus on —
that is what we grow. The day is also connected with taste receptors, appetite, and nutrition. It is favourable to choose the right foods, begin following a diet, a daily eating routine, or a healthy lifestyle. We learn generosity, charity, to give and share the abundance we have, so that we do not choke on excess or become insatiable with material, emotional, or spiritual things.
I am growing my potential. I know what is necessary for my
harmonious growth.
3rd Moon Day
Leopard
To this day, the Moon is still not visible in the sky. On the third lunar day, a thin crescent Moon appears. The Moon’s energy opens up more to the world, gaining greater power of expression, determination, and will. The day is active and strong, with sharp and dense energy, favourable for physical activity. If the potential of the intensifying energy is not managed, the risk of conflict, aggression, and injury increases. On this day, attack is especially to be avoided (as a means of defence). The leopard concentrates and mobilises its vital forces before a powerful leap to reach a specific goal. It is important not to give in to provocation or fear, not to become scattered, but to focus inner strength and begin acting individually in the desired direction.
A long journey begins with the first step. I use the resources of my inner energy purposefully and effectively.
4th lunar day
tree
The Moon’s energy on this day is calm, passive, and serious. It is a suitable time to turn back to roots, origins, and traditions. On this day, one should not be tempted to pick fruit, but rather return to the roots, nurture them, cleanse them, care for them, strengthen them, and improve them. On this day, the Universe speaks in the language of symbols and signs so that we may touch the past and its mysteries (ancestors, family line, native places, nation, history, genetic information, being). Uncovering the meaning of the codes may reveal the causes of present events. Let us be in nature, trust our intuition, open ourselves to feelings, turn toward our inner core, toward the home of our soul. This is a day of choosing between good and evil; let us think our decisions through carefully in solitude. The symbolism of the Trees of Knowledge, Life, or the World also reveals the laws of human life: only healthy and mighty roots grow a strong trunk, wide branches, and yield an abundant harvest.
I firmly feel the fertile earth beneath my feet.
My healthy and strong roots raise me upward.
5th Lunar Day
Unicorn
The mythical creature Unicorn is associated with transmutation in alchemy (the transformation of base metals into noble ones). This magical creature that eats golden apples is able to change its appearance, foresee the future, and fulfill the wishes of the person who can tame it. Today’s Moon energy is nurturing and expanding (favorable for starting work and expanding activities). It is a day for absorbing, transforming, and processing material, emotional, and spiritual nourishment. Sensitivity to choosing the right food, information, and relationships increases. Cleanliness and moderation in the food you consume are essential. Otherwise, we will accumulate toxins not only in the physical body. Trials and temptations are possible, so balance, loyalty, and adherence to values, duties, promises, or oaths are important.
My change is happening in the most harmonious way.
My clean food nourishes my growing thoughts, words, and actions.
6th Lunar Day
Crane (Rainbow, Clouds)
The symbol of the day is the crane: a sacred and prophetic bird. In ancient times, this day was “read” from the clouds: if the sky is clear or completely covered with clouds, there is no harmony in the world. This is a day for absorbing cosmic energy (prana, chi) and letting it flow through you. A day of flight and liberation from limitations. Today is favourable for doing
breathing exercises and developing the sense of smell. A favourable day for studies, gathering
and sharing information, mental and verbal work, various connections, and travel. A harmonious day of cosmic grace.
I am blessed, gifted with grace.
Energy flows freely through me and works in the most harmonious way.
7th Lunar Day
Rooster (Magic Scepter)
This is the day of the wind (air) element. The air element is associated with mental work and words. On this day, words carry a stronger energetic charge, so before speaking, let us carefully weigh them in our minds and understand their meaning and essence. A word (like a sparrow) should not fly out before a conscious thought. It is favourable to pray, read scriptures, meditate, speak less, or practise silence so that the sharpness of thought and the power of words may grow stronger. The magical sceptre is a symbol of the ruler to whom verbal magic and the power of the word are subject, and therefore the elements are under his command. It is unfavourable to lie, gossip, curse, speak unconsciously, use verbal “fillers”, or otherwise cause harm with thoughts or words, provoke or give in to provocations. This is an intense, active day of fighting for truth and justice. The symbol of the rooster on this day disperses darkness with its voice, but does not get involved in thoughtless fights. Today it is better to take on tasks that can be completed quickly.
I am in harmonious connection with the air element.
The words I speak bless the world.
8th lunar day
Phoenix
This is a Moon day between the new moon and the first quarter phases: it is associated with the transition from one state to another, with the process of the body’s biochemical transformations. The sacred mythical bird Phoenix burns and rises from the ashes into a new life. Transformation takes place: the destruction of the old and the birth of the new. This is a day of renewal, purification, unexpected changes, and instability. It is the day of Divine fire, which can destroy, transform, and revive for eternity. An opportunity is given to go back and start everything anew,
to correct the mistakes that have been made. Let us devote attention to repentance and forgiveness. Let us treat fire carefully and respectfully.
Renewal inspires me toward a new stage of life.
I choose the path of evolution.
9th Moon Day
Bat
This is a day of tension between the conscious and the subconscious: a day of illusions, deceptions, missteps, disappointments, trials, and temptation. To avoid being deceived and mistaking evil for good, extra conscious attentiveness is needed, along with regulating thoughts and desires, avoiding pride, practicing forgiveness, and overcoming disharmony. Let us turn to spiritual truths, traditions, and religion so that we do not lose the path to the Living Water. Other symbols of this lunar day are the Milky Way or Mother’s Milk — a conscious choice of the day’s direction. Light is light. Darkness is darkness. Duality distances us from the goal.
I choose the light. I am surrounded by light.
10th Lunar Day
Fountain
The day’s energy is harmonious, more passive and supportive, contemplative. The fountain symbol indicates that abundant and fulfilled energy on the subtle level transforms into newly springing power. Symbolism of inner spiritual perfection and independence, which has the potential to manifest outwardly. On this day, we should drink from the source of Living Water. The day is associated with the creation of traditions, so it is favourable to strengthen the home, family, and traditions, to create, devote oneself to people, and engage in altruistic activities. This is a day of sacrifice,
a day of transformation of inner nature.
Droplets from the ocean of my inner Spirit harmoniously spring forth, creating Life.
11th Lunar Day
Crown (Fire Sword)
The day's energy flows are strong, can be unpredictable, and are connected with the transition from one state to another. This is a day of awakening hidden reserves that can completely transform a person's nature. The symbol of the fiery sword indicates a powerful weapon that can change, transform, or destroy if used by someone who is not properly prepared.
This is also a day of both spiritual and physical purity. The symbol of the crown signifies mastery of the physical body and kundalini
energies, the power of the manifestation of the forces of nature acting within a person.
I know my power. I act honorably and responsibly.
12th Lunar Day
Magic chalice (Holy Grail)
The symbol of the Holy Grail cup is associated with eternal happiness and immortality. Only a person with a pure heart can find it. This is a mystical Moon day, filled with Divine mystery, whose energy is connected with love, wisdom, fellowship, and unity. It is a day of gratitude, respect, mercy, and purification, a time of sensitivity and მშვიდude. By listening to the heart, one can hear the whisper of the wisdom of the Universe.
I am happy. My heart pulses with the vibrations of Divine Love.
13th Moon Day
wheel
The symbol of this day is eternal recurrence, constant seeking, unceasing energy (prana, chi), movement in a circle (cycle) in one direction and the other (aging – rejuvenation; evolution – involution). Meaningless, monotonous, and
boring inertia may be felt. However, by unlocking the mystery of the 12th Lunar day, the constant turning of the Wheel on the 13th day can take on a completely new, unique expression, transforming creatively. An opportunity to move to another level, to create the world you desire. This is a day of human programs and karmic correction. The highest symbolism of this day's energy is the Wheel of Fortune, the Talisman (protection). The Moon's energy continues to grow and increase. This is an active, dynamic day; connections, communication, information, and attention to detail are important.
I trust the unknown. It is safe for me to experience change and create a new quality of life.
14th lunar day
Trumpet
The trumpet sounds the unbroken tone of eternity: it is a symbol of longing, waiting, and a call to turn back to the source. Vigilance is important, as is staying true to your calling and mission, so that you do not lose your way or follow a misleading summons. It supports acting not out of selfish motives, but for the good of many. This is a day for seeking higher meaning, when it is possible to overcome obstacles that hinder spiritual ascent and the restoration of connection with the Spirit. The Moon is drawing ever closer to the culmination of its cycle, energy is increasing, emotions are intensifying, and productivity is growing.
Life in itself is meaningful. My talents and calling bring
benefit to all living beings.
15th Lunar Day
Winged Jackal (Anubis)
The middle of the lunar month, the midpoint. The winged jackal Anubis is associated with guiding souls from this world to the afterlife. These symbols point to the thinning boundary between the visible and invisible worlds, between light and darkness, between the lower and higher aspects of human nature. That is why this lunar day is dual in nature, when one may give in to temptations, deceit, and weaknesses; instincts and emotions come to the surface. Today, choice and intention are important. Greater effort is needed to maintain moderation and balance. This is a day to defend goodness, truth, and justice, a day to fight evil. But if we must fight, let us do so for justice, not for pleasure.
My choice makes me stronger. I support myself.
16th lunar day
April (Stairway to Heaven, Butterfly)
The Moon is at the highest point of its journey. This is a day of purity and balance. It is essential to remain calm and not disturb inner comfort and peace of soul. Moderation and balance are important. The dove is a symbol of hope, peace, spiritual uplift, purity, and justice. Upholding these qualities today will protect against suffering and decline, when spiritual purity, love, and connection with nature and the Universe are lost. The stairs to heaven signify a long path of ascent, along which steps are reflected upon (outwardly) while contemplation takes place within.
Having overcome it, we receive what we sought. The energies of growth and ascent unfold, as do creativity
and the power of imagination. If a full moon occurs on this lunar day, the remaining days of the lunar cycle will be more harmonious and uplifting.
My inner peace creates harmony in my world.
I cooperate with nature.
17th lunar day
Grape bunch (Varpas)
The symbol of the day—a bunch of grapes—is associated with accumulation, growth, and fertility. This is a day of transformation of feminine energy (Shakti). At its highest expression, the day’s energy rises into joy, ecstasy, inspiration, and love. This is a strong creative energy: let us use its still-unknown potential, act effectively, but do not overdo it. If this energy is not controlled, it can decline and manifest as cynicism, lust, anger, or aggression. This is not a day for asceticism or extremes; on the contrary, it is a day for emotional recovery and inner freedom, suitable for communicating, sharing, spreading love
and proclaiming joy.
I open myself to the joy of my soul. I celebrate life.
18th Lunar Day
Monkey (Mirror, Ice)
It is a time of illusions, distortions, and chasing something else. In terms of energy use, this is a passive day. On this day, as if through a mirror, we can see a reflection of our inner world (thoughts, beliefs, decisions) and past actions, manifested through other people, events, and circumstances. The day’s energy depends on each person’s individual—high or low—vibrations, on the quality of being. Let us observe, analyse, and draw conclusions.
I see myself and the world objectively. I accept reality.
19th lunar day
Spider (Network)
A day that requires attentiveness and focus so that we do not fall into deception, provocation, or traps—into the web of a poisonous spider that ensnares naive souls. On this day, let us cleanse the body, home, and surroundings physically and spiritually, and clear ourselves of other people's thoughts, programs, and outside influences. It is recommended to light a fire or a candle and perform protection rituals. Trials may come through lies, pride, envy, revenge, or illusions.
On this day, let us not make decisions or generate new plans or ideas, and let us evaluate offers cautiously so that we do not fall into a deceptive invisible ideological web. Let us make more effort to remain highly moral, patient, humble, and
selfless.
My conscience is clear. I am safe.
20th lunar day
eagle
The energy of the lunar day is serious and contemplative. This is a time of spiritual transformation, overcoming doubt, rising upward, and understanding cosmic laws. The eagle is a symbol of power striving toward the heavens and protection, as well as a symbol of spiritual achievement, the force of broad ambition and distant horizons. On this day, you can see the direction of your life, understand its meaning,
recognize your teachers. It is a suitable day to spend in მშვიდ?
I recognize the signs imprinted for me in the sky.
My thoughts, words, and actions are in harmony with my value system.
21st lunar day
Horse (Herd of Horses)
This is active, strong, energetic, creative Moon day energy. It is a surge of purposeful, not chaotic, energy. The horse embodies active and persistent movement toward the highest goal. It is a symbol of courage, honor, chivalry, duty, self-sacrifice, loyalty, justice, and purity. On this day, it is favorable to act in groups, in a collective: energy accumulates, and greater understanding and a sense of community emerge. It is also a day of inner transformation and change.
I act purposefully toward my goal.
Truth sets me free.
22nd Lunar Day
Elephant (Key, Book)
Today, the Moon’s energy is passive and calm. The elephant symbolizes longevity, stability, strength, constancy, the wisdom of the world, and law. This is a day of wisdom, science, studies, knowledge, and the sharing, absorption, and consolidation of experience. Today, deeper inquiry, clarification, analysis, and insights are more fruitful. The key symbol points to the possibility of
unlocking the treasure chest of secret knowledge, overcoming the meanings and significance of symbols and signs. The day is associated with humanity’s karmic code: the revelation of the past, present, and future.
My knowledge and experience nurture my wisdom. Receiving and giving are in balance.
23rd lunar day
Crocodile
This is the turning-point day of the Moon cycle phases. It is a moment of destroying the old, radical reforms, and irreversible changes. The crocodile symbolizes absolute persistence, the completion of any action, and a deadly struggle. At its lowest level of expression, the day is dominated by insatiability, greed, selfishness, a desire for revenge, conflict, reckless risk-taking, anger, and anxiety. This day is significant for our entire path of evolution; it is a day of trials, so one must not give in to provocations or behave dishonourably. Courage will be needed for a virtuous deed and determination to defend the light.
24th lunar day
Bear (Mountain)
The Moon has reached the final phase of its cycle, so the lunar month is coming to an end. This is a day of awakening and rising active energy, and of passing it on. It is a time for the manifestation of creative powers. The active masculine (Yang) principle transforms into the passive energy of the feminine (Yin) principle. The day is associated with the awakening of the forces of nature, healing, the awakening of sexual energies, and transformation. Strong people devote their energy on this day to major tasks, to “laying the foundation” for important matters. Weaker people are passive on this day, resting body and soul.
I feel my body. By accepting the sensations of my body, I say YES to the flow of life!
25th Lunar Day
Turtle
The turtle symbol is associated with the reflection of the sky on Earth (Heavenly laws on Earth), wisdom, and prophecy. It is the keeper of the information of things, a symbol of the stability of the Universe, and the eternity and inviolability of knowledge. The day's energy is passive and contemplative: this is a time for solitude, concentration, and imagination. The day is connected with the deepest understanding, clarifying coincidences, understanding fate, and connecting to the information field. It is better to follow the principle of “make haste slowly,” act calmly and purposefully, remain balanced, and trust your intuition. It is important to clear your thoughts and develop observation,
clairvoyance, inner hearing, and insight. Everything happens in its own time.
In my life, everything happens in its own time.
All my time belongs to me.
26th Lunar Day
Toad (Swamp)
The day symbolizes false wisdom, a mire into which one may fall into the traps of one’s own wisdom, feel superior to others, and end up in the swamp of pride. The key to this day is to see the reflection of God’s spirit in every being (in the fairy tale, the princess turned into a frog
does not become a frog in her essence). This is a day of debts, of paying tribute to the Earth, also
connected with karma yoga. It is a day of purification, of cleansing away outer dirt, of shedding old skin, one’s vices, and false beliefs. Let us cleanse ourselves on all levels of being so that the light of the purified inner axis may permeate life. In this way, true wisdom is attained. On this day, energy is not lasting—it is quickly depleted. In order not to waste it, one should use it thoughtfully or refrain from active pursuits and rest.
I use my energy wisely. I easily let go of what
is no longer needed and prevents the light from spreading.
27th lunar day
Treble Hook (Anchor)
This is the day of the Cosmic mystery, the sacred mystery of the world. The trident is the symbol of the highest Cosmic justice, associated with the ever-renewing and eternally alluring symbol of the depths of the Ocean of Spirit. The trident is also a symbol of the power of the gods, with which the elements and the primal energies are governed (masculine (Yan), feminine (Yin)
and impersonal (Den)). The one who masters this instrument of power, tames chaos, and frees themselves from illusions reaches the ultimate goal through free will. The anchor symbolizes absolute loyalty, devotion, and the steadfastness of hope and ideals. It is a symbol of stability in changing waters. The energy of the day is shifting, mystical, subtle, intuitive, and creative. If one is not guided by illusions, deep insights, the unraveling of secrets, and a synergy of intuition and intellect are possible.
I am surrounded by an ocean of love. I trust my intuition.
28th Moon Day
Lotus
From tomorrow, we will no longer see the Moon in the vault of the sky for several days, so this day sums up the path traveled in the lunar cycle. The symbol of the day is the lotus, the water lily, which unites four different elements: with its roots, the earth; with its stem, the water; with its blossom, the air; it stretches toward the sun (fire). At the same time, it is also a symbol of the spirit, of its manifestation in matter, a symbol of nobility and purity. This is a day of the highest virtues, morality, and spiritual awareness. The clear energy of this day allows us to grasp meaning, see the truth, communicate with the Spirit, with our soul, and experience enlightenment. This day symbolizes non-identification and
the breaking of any illusory ties, of everything that prevents a person from expressing their higher nature,
Today, it is possible to gain the maximum benefit from the minimum amount of information.
The elements within me come together harmoniously.
I cooperate with my soul.
29th lunar day
Octopus (Hydra)
The symbols of the lunar month's days fostered spiritual upliftment. Today, only the final and strongest trial remains to be overcome: on this day, we no longer see the Moon in the vault of the sky. In the Moon's darkness, negative forces also grow stronger. The day is associated with Saint Michael the Archangel's battle with Satan, and Hercules' fight against the Hydra. This is a day of karmic retribution. A day of պայքles against evil.
Let us cleanse ourselves, repay our debts, devote time to order, cleanliness, protective rituals, and prayer. The best thing to do on this day is housework. If this day is the last
day of the lunar month, let us review and reflect on the meaning of this lunar cycle for us, its gifts and challenges.
I am grateful for the life journey I have experienced. The light is within me.
30th lunar day
Swan
This Moon day does not occur in every lunar cycle. If the lunar month ends with Swan Day, we greet the first day of the new cycle (the new moon) in a more positive frame of mind, and the coming cycle is more harmonious. This is the day for completing the work of the lunar cycle, a time for summing up and reflection. The Swan symbolizes the highest love and union with the Spirit, Nirvana. It is also a symbol of help, mercy, altruism, and transformation (the transformation of the spirit). The day’s energy is favorable for contemplation, for beauty, art, joy, and noble feelings to unfold. This is a day of harmony, mercy, and moderation.
I create the beauty of my life. I love and am loved.
