Full Moon in Pisces and Lunar Eclipse

Eclipses don't 'travel' alone

Following the solar eclipse on August 12, 2026, a full moon in Pisces occurs on August 28 at 7:18 AM, accompanied by a partial lunar eclipse. This is the fourth and final eclipse of 2026, closing the gates of this season's eclipse corridor.

The lunar eclipse will begin in the early morning at 4:23 AM. In Lithuania, we will be able to observe its beginning, but we will not see the maximum at 7:12 AM because the Moon will be below the horizon. It is perhaps symbolic that the last eclipse of this cycle in the final sign of the Zodiac will disappear along with the setting Moon, concluding a story that has been written in our lives for nearly two years.

The final chord: what have you learned?

Eclipses on the Pisces-Virgo axis began on September 18, 2024, and will continue until February 21, 2027, when the final eclipse of this cycle occurs in the sign of Virgo. The eclipse on August 28 in Pisces is already the last one in that sign, so this time it is more important to look at what has truly changed over the past two years.

Let's look back at the autumn of 2024: what was just a hunch then, and is obvious today? Where have we learned to trust more, and where, conversely, have we become more responsibly involved? What new things have become part of our daily lives?

This is a kind of two-year journey audit. See what you have become. Perhaps the greatest wisdom of this cycle is the ability to distinguish when to act and when to surrender to the flow of life.

Perfect sufficiency

The Virgo archetype sees what can still be fixed, optimized, or improved. The Sun in this sign illuminates our efforts, daily choices, and the pursuit of perfection. However, the Moon opposite in Pisces reminds us that life does not need to be constantly 'repaired' and that who we are right now is already worthy of love and acceptance. There is no perfection we have yet to reach—there is a wholeness to which we already belong.

In the light of this full moon, a subtle line emerges between a healthy desire to grow and an endless pursuit of becoming a 'better' version of oneself. Do we know how to stop when it is enough? Can we accept ourselves fully and feel sufficient? Do we allow ourselves not to know all the answers and not to control all circumstances? Are we able to do what depends on us and entrust everything else to a higher will?

When old answers no longer work

The energy of this full moon is closely related to the alignment of other planets, so themes of information, thinking, decision-making, and the ability to quickly reorient may come to the fore. What seemed logical, correct, or self-evident until now may reveal a completely different perspective. Old beliefs and habitual thought patterns collide with unexpected circumstances or a different perception of reality. The flow of information can be intense and rapidly changing, so it is especially important to filter, verify facts, and not cling to a single truth. The current reality requires not old answers, but more flexible thinking and new solutions.

Are you living what you believe?

The full moon in Pisces brings to the surface what usually remains beyond rational perception—subtle feelings, intuition, faith, compassion, spiritual needs, and a deeper connection to the totality of life. In the sign of Pisces, spirituality is not just spiritual practices or religious norms—it is the ability to feel the meaning of life and trust in what cannot be fully explained rationally.

However, the light of the full moon also highlights the shadow side of the Pisces archetype: compassion can turn into self-sacrifice, faith into blind gullibility, dreams into illusions, and the search for spiritual meaning into a way to avoid uncomfortable reality.

Throughout the Pisces-Virgo eclipse cycle, we learn to combine intuition with common sense, compassion with boundaries, dedication with responsibility, and the sense of a greater meaning with small daily choices. So, the key to this full moon is simple but profound: let our lives be a living practice of what we truly believe.
