The end of the eclipse corridor and the threshold of new beginnings.
On September 21, 2025, at 22:41, the maximum of the Solar eclipse in Virgo will occur. The last eclipse of this year closes the eclipse corridor that began on September 7 with a total Lunar eclipse in Pisces. A partial Solar eclipse will be visible in Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica, and parts of the Oceania islands. This eclipse will not be visible in Lithuania.
The full Moon with an eclipse in Pisces opened unexpected questions about our inner world, intuition, dreams, and connection to the spiritual realm. Meanwhile, this New Moon in Virgo, accompanied by the Solar eclipse, will direct attention to earthly daily organization – duties and responsibilities, work, and health.
A bit about eclipses in astrology
Solar eclipses can only occur during a New Moon, Lunar eclipses during a Full Moon, but not every Full Moon or New Moon results in an eclipse. When the Moon reaches the upper or lower limit of its tilted elliptical orbit (called the Lunar nodes), it aligns perfectly in a line with the Sun and Earth. It is precisely then that the New Moon becomes a Solar eclipse, and the Full Moon becomes a Lunar eclipse.
The significance of the Lunar nodes is inseparable from the impact and meanings of eclipses. The nodes axis in astrology marks past experiences (South Node) and the evolutionary direction of the future (North Node). It is a connection between karmic imprints and spiritual growth, where present decisions become a bridge linking what has already happened with what we are becoming. During eclipses, when the Sun (vital force and source of conscious self-awareness), the Moon (world of subconscious, feelings, and intuition), and the Earth (foundation of fate realization) align in one direction near the Lunar nodes (points of past imprints and liberation potential), the bodies of the Solar system engage in a special conversation in invisible energy flows. Here, the past can be rewritten, the future adjusted, as the present reveals itself in its fullness.
The New Moon is the beginning of a new cycle, but also an important moment of understanding and releasing the past, as the Solar eclipse occurs near the South Lunar node, reminding us that it is necessary to say goodbye to what has already fulfilled its purpose and what is not worth carrying into the future. At this time, the fruits of learned lessons or accumulated experience may become clear; we can more clearly understand which activities, relationships, or habits have reached a natural completion point and feel a strong need to cleanse ourselves from internal and external "scenario residues." Thus, the New Moon intentions can be closely related not only to plans for the new cycle but also to endings, completion, release, or purification of old processes.
The meaning of this eclipse is not only to look at the vision of the future direction but also to sift through past experiences, integrating them into the space of the new present.
Solar eclipse in Virgo
The Solar eclipse in Virgo touches the area where earthly daily themes stand out, but at the same time, invisible ties with spiritual development tasks are felt. The Virgo sign is symbolically associated with order, cleanliness, various systems, and logic, as well as work and responsibilities. It is also connected with health, the body, and the ability to take care of oneself and others. The energy of the eclipse in these areas invites focusing on practical solutions, conscious fulfillment of duties, introducing clarity, and restoring internal and external order.
The eclipse near the South Lunar node will remind that a new beginning is inseparable from reviewing, analyzing, releasing, and becoming aware of the old stage. So at this time, we may face outdated habits, ineffective work methods, consequences of an unbalanced work and rest regime more clearly than ever, notice excessive criticism and dissatisfaction. Issues may arise about how to restore not only cleanliness but also feelings of inner purity and lightness.
Eclipse ruling planets Mercury and Proserpina
The eclipse occurring in Virgo is related to its ruling planets Mercury and Proserpina. During the eclipse, Mercury travels through Libra, emphasizing the importance of dialogue, relationships, and partnership. So, questions arising during the eclipse will become clear in relationships with others: what we have learned from communication or closing off from others, where we can no longer avoid talking, and where it is time to stop trying to prove something by talking. We will have to seek balance and peaceful ways to restore and define boundaries. Proserpina traveling through Scorpio symbolically reminds that in this eclipse, the most important thing is not only external changes but also inner transformation by passing through one’s dark underworlds and discovering one’s power in a new light.
Eclipse opposition with Saturn
The Solar eclipse in Virgo forms an opposition with retrograde Saturn in Pisces, near which Neptune is also traveling in Aries. This is an additional signal about the material realization of dreams: Your inspiration or vision should take a concrete form. It is not enough to idealize the future; a real plan or strategy is needed. Saturn in this case invites naming limits, reviewing commitments, and assessing how much strength we really have. Neptune’s influence nearby provides creative inspiration but can also encourage illusions, so it is necessary to maintain a sober perspective. The key to this eclipse energy is a conscious balance between order and creativity, between practical decisions and spiritual intuition.
Eclipse opportunities

· Introducing order or system, bringing clarity and consistency.
· Balance between work and rest, duties and responsibilities.
· Health issues, attention to the body, nutrition, habits.

· Unconscious dependence on old habits or situations.
· Excessive criticism of oneself or others.
· Tendency to see more mistakes than opportunities.
· Nitpicking, perfectionism, pedantry.
· Resistance to change or procrastination.
Eclipse cycles
Eclipses on a certain axis are a recurring phenomenon. Previous eclipses on the Virgo and Pisces axis occurred in 1987-1989, 2006-2008, and 2015-2017. Events that happened then already began to create the background for today’s situations. The current eclipse cycle on the Virgo and Pisces axis began in autumn 2024 and will continue until spring 2027. So it is worth recalling your experiences during those periods and recognizing current and future trends.
The sacredness of everyday life
In the cosmos, as on our Earth, pure love energy constantly pulses. Some ancient cultures believed that during eclipses, the Sun and Moon meet in an embrace of love – not for battle or fear, but for creation and new beginnings. Perhaps there is nothing threatening in this synchronous movement of celestial bodies, only the expression of the Creator’s love and the birth of infinite possibilities? Eclipses on the Virgo and Pisces axis remind us that spirituality and everyday life are not separate. Love can ignite in the smallest detail, the simplest action, the humblest relationship. Even the smallest molecule on Earth is inseparable from the Creator’s sacredness. So ask yourself, how does this love energy spread within me? How do I breathe the fullness of life?
